[Geneva] — On March 5 the Corvette Stingray convertible was unveiled
in Geneva, paying homage to its international flair. By the numbers,
this will be the most powerful and technologically advanced standard
Corvette to date. The Stingray offers a GM estimated 450 horsepower and
450 lb.-ft. of torque.
“It’s fitting to introduce the 2014 Corvette Stingray convertible on
the global stage at Geneva, as Corvette is Chevrolet’s flagship around
the world, recognized and admired even in countries where it’s never
officially been offered,” said Ed Welburn, GM vice president of global
design. “The new Stingray is the most international Corvette ever — in
terms of design, technology and performance … a worthy competitor to any
convertible sports car in the world.”
